Who’s Federating in NZ?
Chances are, if you’ve implemented federation, or are planning on it, the first thing you want to know is “who can I talk to with it”. That was certainly towards the top of my list anyway.

The following is a list of companies and organisations in New Zealand (or at least with a presence in NZ) that are using Lync/OCS federation…

I would like to make this as comprehensive a list as possible, so if you are aware of other organisations that are federating, please drop the details in a comment and I’ll add them to the list.

I was trying to get a simmilar thing working for my personal email signature.
What i have so far is:

In this example i”m using “John Smith” as an example but when I use a proper email address, i find that the im window appears.
But when I send a message, it is not able to send. Also i recieve the greyed out “Prescence unknown” When i know the person i”m connecting to is available in my lync client.
Is there any additional configuration you need to go through to get this working.
Hopefully I there is an answer out there for me.

Sorry not 100% sure what you’re trying to acheive. Sounds like you’re trying to create a clickable link to a Lync identity – is that right? If so, the syntax is just like a mailto reference (eg. mailto:[email protected]) but instead of mailto you use sip, as in sip:[email protected].
Possible you’re running into an issue where the SIP identity doesn’t match the users’s email address exactly, so you’re getting varying results.
If you can qualify your question a little further I’d be happy to help.
